The idea was first conceived by the Bürkert management, who wished to offer employees the opportunity to socialise after work in a relaxed atmosphere, thus sharing in the Bürkert culture. It was, however, clear from the start that the event had to offer something new and different that would reflect the unique image of Bürkert, and the Systemhaus Ingelfingen was quickly identified as the perfect venue.
Lichtsport, a group of artists from Berlin were responsible for the conception, artistic staging and organisation of the first Bürkert after-work party. With video projections on five huge screens mounted on the glass façade, music and sound effects, the Systemhaus was converted into a stunning party venue. During the event, Lichtsport mixed music with previously produced video sequences, using specially programmed video samplers. A number of Bürkert employees were actively involved in the preparations for this show. Colleagues in other countries were for example asked to take a picture through the window next to their workplace. These images were then compiled in a video loop file representing more than 30 Bürkert offices.
Four hundred guests enjoyed the great party at the Systemhaus. Apart from Bürkert employees from all plants and the German sales department (VKG) as well as their friends and partners, tickets were also available to employees of companies in the region. They thus had the opportunity to be part of a unique event in their area. And it is already clear that the first such event will not be the last...
