Sterile Connection

• Filter housing and 3Connections2Seats Robolux valve are autoclaved together

• The autoclaved filter 3Connections2Seats Robolux valve unit is connected to the 3Connections2Seats Robolux valve on the desired process equipment.

• Steam/CIP is introduced.
• The steam sterilizes the path, "no dead-leg" valve bodies.
• Condensate/CIP is efficiently removed from the valve body.

• After the cycle is complete, the Steam/CIP inlet and condensate drain portion of the valve is closed.
• The valve is actuated so that the process can flow from the filter to the process equipment.

Advantages:

• Easy to use and implement
• Can be used on in-line or modified for t-line housings
• Method can be used even if filter is inverted
• Zero dead-leg design
• Extremely low hold-up volume
• More efficient design than "ported two-way valve" system
• Fewer diaphragms
• Fewer connections
• Overall lower cost
