Sterile Connection
Multi-way / Multiport Robolux Valves for Sterile Connection
 |
 |
- Filter housing and 3Connections2Seats Robolux valve are autoclaved together
|
- The autoclaved filter 3Connections2Seats Robolux valve unit is connected to the 3Connections2Seats Robolux valve on the desired process equipment.
|
 |
 |
- Steam/CIP is introduced.
- The steam sterilizes the path, "no dead-leg" valve bodies.
- Condensate/CIP is efficiently removed from the valve body.
|
- After the cycle is complete, the Steam/CIP inlet and condensate drain portion of the valve is closed.
- The valve is actuated so that the process can flow from the filter to the process equipment.
|
|
Advantages:
-
Easy to use and implement
-
Can be used on in-line or modified for t-line housings
-
Method can be used even if filter is inverted
-
Zero dead-leg design
-
Extremely low hold-up volume
-
More efficient design than "ported two-way valve" system
-
Fewer diaphragms
-
Fewer connections
-
Overall lower cost |
